In 2025, the Thailand Elite Visa program remains one of the most prestigious long-term residency options in Thailand. However, it is not linked to property purchase and is administered exclusively by Thai Privilege Card Co., Ltd (TPC), under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The program is designed for high-net-worth foreigners seeking comfort, safety, and status. It does not grant citizenship or work rights, but allows legal residence in Thailand for up to 20 years without annual exit requirements.
Visa Types & Fees (2025)
The program offers several categories:
- Elite Easy Access (5 years): 600,000 THB (~17,100 USD);
- Elite Superiority Extension (10 years): 1,000,000 THB (~28,500 USD);
- Elite Family Excursion (15 years): 1,500,000 THB (~42,800 USD);
- Elite Ultimate Privilege (20 years): 2,000,000 THB (~57,000 USD).
Payment is one-time only. No installments or 9 payments.
What Benefits Does the Visa Offer?
- Long-term stay: 5 to 20 years;
- Fast-track immigration: dedicated lanes at Bangkok & Phuket airports;
- Personal concierge: assistance with transfers, hotel bookings, medical services;
- 24/7 support: hotline in English, Russian, Chinese;
- Discounts & privileges: at hotels, restaurants, malls (Central, Siam Paragon, Duty Free);
- Document assistance: bank account opening, driver's license processing.
Can You Get the Visa Through a Developer?
No. No developer — not Kingdom Property, AP, Sansiri, or Pruksa — can issue a Thailand Elite Visa. However, some developers offer partial reimbursement as a marketing incentive when buying property.
For example, purchasing at Southpoint Residences may include a rebate of up to 100,000 THB — but this is not a substitute for payment, just a partial cashback.
How to Apply Legally?
- Select your visa type on the official TPC website;
- Complete the form and upload passport copy;
- Pay the full fee directly via bank or online;
- Receive approval and instructions within 4–6 weeks;
- Activate the visa at an embassy or upon arrival in Thailand.
No 'money back if denied' — the program rarely rejects applicants who pass background checks.
Alternative: LTR Visa (Long-Term Resident)
Since 2023, Thailand has launched a more accessible program — the LTR Visa, offering 10-year residency with conditions:
- Investor: investment from 50 million THB;
- High-Skilled Professional: income from 1 million THB/year;
- Digital Nomad: income from 80,000 THB/month;
- Pensioner: pension from 65,000 THB/month.
LTR is cheaper (5,000 THB application fee) and widely used instead of Thailand Elite.
Outlook 2025–2030
Expected:
- Growth of Thailand Elite members to 15,000 people;
- Integration with digital IDs and blockchain verification;
- Development of personal AI assistants for members;
- Global recognition of Thailand Elite as one of the world’s top VIP residency programs.
"Thailand Elite isn’t just a visa. It’s a lifestyle," said TPC CEO Natavudh Praiwan. "We serve those who choose the best."
