In 2025, TAT launches a series of street concerts and festivals in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, and other cities. Thailand Grand Sale — June to September.

In preparation for the summer tourism season, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced a large-scale program of events to attract foreign visitors during the low season. In 2025, the focus is on street concerts, music festivals, and the massive Thailand Grand Sale, running from June to September.

Street Concerts in Bangkok and Regions

While a single 9-day festival on Silom, Asoke, and Ratchaprasong is not officially announced, TAT is supporting a series of urban music events in the capital and resort areas:

  • Bangkok Street Music Festival — July, along BTS Asoke and Sukhumvit
  • Live at Silom — weekends in July–August, jazz and blues bands
  • Ratchaprasong Light & Music Show — evening projections and live music near CentralWorld

Events are funded under TAT’s 2025 budget, with 200 million THB allocated for city festivals and Thailand’s global branding, including events in Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.

Regional Festivals for Tourists

Besides Bangkok, similar events will take place in key tourist destinations:

  • Pattaya Summer Beats — July, Wong Amat Beach, DJ sets and live concerts
  • Chiang Mai Urban Sounds — music nights in the old city
  • Hua Hin Music & Food Festival — seaside promenade, July
  • Phuket Street Vibes — Patong, street performances and food courts

The goal is to revitalize urban spaces, build a positive image of Thailand, and encourage tourists to stay longer.

Thailand Grand Sale 2025

The traditional Thailand Grand Sale in 2025 will run from June 1 to September 30. One of Asia’s largest retail events, it includes:

  • Malls: CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, ICONSIAM, Terminal 21
  • Brands: Adidas, Uniqlo, Zara, Samsung, Apple
  • Airlines: Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air — discounts on domestic flights
  • Hotels and tour operators — special packages

Discounts reach up to 70% on clothing, electronics, cosmetics, and souvenirs.

Who Is Leading the Initiative?

The campaign is led by Wilaivar Thawitsri, Deputy Governor of TAT for marketing. He stated: "We want to present Thailand as a country with vibrant urban culture — safe, welcoming, and full of life. Music and shopping are universal languages."

Expected Impact

TAT forecasts the events will:

  • Attract over 1.2 million additional tourists from June to September
  • Boost retail and service sector spending
  • Increase average tourist stay duration
  • Strengthen Thailand’s position as a year-round destination

Conclusion

While a single 200-million-THB festival as described is not confirmed, TAT is actively investing in summer urban events and sales. In 2025, tourists can enjoy street music in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket, and take advantage of massive discounts during the Thailand Grand Sale. This is part of a strategy to turn the low season into a peak tourism period.
