In November 2019, at one of Pattaya’s most spectacular hotels — Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort — a grand charity gala was held, organized by Heights Holdings, one of the city’s leading developers. This event became a symbol of the golden era of Russian-Thai collaboration in real estate and social responsibility.
Over 600 guests attended — business leaders, real estate agencies, media, architects, and property owners. Many came not only by invitation but out of curiosity — to see one of Thailand’s most extravagant and thematically rich resorts.
The Evening’s Atmosphere: Luxury, Art & Entertainment
The event began with a cocktail reception in the resort’s tropical garden, where guests enjoyed fresh draft beer, red and white wines, and premium cocktails. Staff in exclusive attire created a festive ambiance.
Guests were then invited into the main ballroom, decorated in a 'Thousand and One Nights' style with elements of Thai mythology. The evening featured live performances:
- A Thai violinist playing modern arrangements of classical pieces;
- Brazilian dancers in vibrant costumes — a show of energy and passion;
- The Grand Opera Ensemble — powerful vocal performances that amazed the audience.
Exclusive Dining Experience
Two hours after the start, guests moved to a luxurious buffet dinner featuring:
- Seafood: oysters, prawns, lobsters;
- High-end European and Asian cuisine;
- Handcrafted desserts by the hotel’s pastry chefs.
The Centerpiece: Rolls-Royce & Motorcycles
In a corner of the hall stood a black Rolls-Royce Phantom flanked by two massive Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The display drew huge attention — many took photos, seeing it as a symbol of success and status.
The Highlight — Charity Auction
The evening culminated in a charity auction of artistic collages created by renowned Thai and international artists. The works were made in unique techniques and dedicated to Thailand’s nature, culture, and architecture.
Bidding reached:
- 15,000 to 50,000 THB per framed piece;
- The most beautiful and emotional collage was purchased by "My Thai Home" — the leading real estate agency for Russian-speaking clients and long-time partner of Heights Holdings.
Total proceeds amounted to 298,500 THB and were fully donated to the Melissa Cosgrove Foundation — an organization supporting underprivileged children, building schools, and development centers in Thai provinces.
Significance of the Event
This event was one of the last major joint projects between Russian and Thai companies in Pattaya before global shifts in the 2020s. It symbolized:
- The peak of the real estate market for Russian-speaking investors;
- Corporate social responsibility among developers;
- Strong business and personal ties between the two communities.
As Heights Holdings founder Alexander Lapshin stated: "We don’t just build homes. We build the future — together with those who believe in it."
The past shapes the present. 'My Thai Home' continues the tradition of giving and honest service. Today, we help find homes, protect investments, and start new lives in Thailand.
