On December 9, 2025, an official event marking International Anti-Corruption Day will be held in Bangkok, organized by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) with support from the UN, universities, and civil society. This year’s theme is "Transparency Starts with Me", uniting over 2,500 students from 30 universities across Thailand.

The event begins at 3:00 PM in front of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), featuring a youth rally, the launch of a national transparency platform, and the opening of an art exhibition on anti-corruption themes.

Youth as the Driving Force

In 2025, youth remain key players in the anti-corruption movement:

  • 30 universities participating: including Chulalongkorn, Thammasat, Mahidol, Prince of Songkla;
  • Integrity Pledge: students publicly sign the "Anti-Corruption Oath";
  • Anti-Corruption Clubs: established in 85% of public universities;
  • Digital initiatives: students develop apps for anonymous reporting.

"We don’t wait for change — we create it," said Nattawut Phanchan, a student leader from Thammasat University. "Corruption starts in small acts. Our duty is to stop it before it becomes normal."

Government Policy & Technology

In 2025, Thailand is actively adopting digital solutions:

  • NACC Unified Platform: online complaint submission and investigation tracking;
  • AI analysis of tenders: detecting suspicious patterns in public procurement;
  • Open data: access to ministry budgets and officials’ expenditures;
  • E-procurement: 95% of government purchases are digital.

Public Opinion 2025

According to a NIDA Poll (November 2025, 5,000 respondents):

  • 68% believe corruption in the public sector remains a serious issue;
  • 74% trust NACC as an institution;
  • 82% of youth (18–25) support strict anti-corruption measures;
  • 56% believe the situation is improving due to digitalization.

Art Exhibition & Cultural Program

The "Art Against Corruption" exhibition at BACC will feature:

  • 70 works by young artists and students;
  • Installations & AR projects: visualizing corruption’s consequences;
  • Photo series "Faces of Officials": open data on income and assets;
  • Film screenings: documentaries on anti-corruption in Asia.

Outlook 2025–2026

Expected:

  • Launch of a National School of Anti-Corruption Education under NACC;
  • Expansion of international cooperation with ASEAN and UNODC;
  • 40% rise in anonymous reports via the NACC app;
  • Inclusion of ethics and transparency in school curricula.

"Corruption is not just a crime — it’s theft from the future," said NACC Chair Pathana Sukhum. "We cannot afford to lose this battle. Every honest step is a victory."
